All participants to this 11th European Solid Mechanics Conference and working on the following topics are very welcome to submit an abstract in this Mini-Symposium devoted to contact, friction, adhesion, wear and to the related numerical approaches.
Although considerable progresses have been achieved in the last decades on Contact Mechanics, many problems are still open.
Hence the researh field is still growing and diversifies in many directions which include multi-scale approaches, multi-physics models, coupled multi-field problems, contact at nanoscales, contact dynamics, biomechanical contact problems, adhesion and failure processes, friction and wear, rolling contact, etc.
The scope of this Mini-Symposium is to gather specialists and young researchers of the various fields concernend with contact and interface modeling.
Contributions are welcome, both on modeling, theoretical, computational and experimental aspects as well as industrial applications.
Let note that 2022 will be especially rich for the contact mechanics community and we are very glad to mention also the CMIS 2022 (Contact Mechanics International Symposium) organized on May 23-25, 2022, by Prof. JF Molinari and co-workers from EPFL – Lausanne – Switzerland.
